Rovio
Congratulations Rovio on the successful launch of Angry Birds: Star Wars Edition. Maybe now you can take some of that time and money you clearly have (I mean you did secure licensing AND make a whole new game) and FINALLY FUCKING PROVIDE ICLOUD SUPPORT FOR YOUR GODDAMNED GAMES. Unacceptable.

Updated Tumblr App for iOS
The main reason why I strictly posted from my MacBook Pro was that the old version was horrible. I would lose drafts, the app would crash, it was slow as hell. This is nice and smooooooooth. Now if only they would update the app and make it universal… I guess Rome wasn’t built in a day either.

$499 Doesn't Buy You A 32GB Surface →
It only buys you a 16GB Surface. $100 more than the iPad.
I wonder how long it will take to perform a software update for the OS on this thing? Are they going to be delta updates? I hope so.

Beneath the Sea
“We’ve done tons of user testing on this, and it turns out it doesn’t work.”
I feel like Steve Jobs was right and wrong about this at the same time. If touch functionality is added to a computer that uses an OS like OS X or Windows Desktop Mode, then it is completely useless and shouldn’t even be considered. But I feel like as much as I see Microsoft making a...

Forstall
My only post while battened down. Goodbye skeumorphism. You will NOT be missed. One thought regarding the apology letter Forstall declined to sign. Everyone was so amazed that Tim Cook would suggest and even directly link to other alternative mapping solutions during the maps debacle. It seemed like he was admitting fault and taking a monstrous hit letting users go elsewhere for mapping. But...

Music vs. iPod
With iOS 5 came the change of the iPod app from the beautiful orange and white iPod icon called iPod to the ugly burnt orange and brown (burgundy) music note icon called Music. Why would Apple do this? I feel like Apple should change it back. With the iPod line slowly (I’ll admit slower than most thought it would) fading away and heading to the background of Apple’s line up, they...

Frankenstorm
This is my last post for the day. In all seriousness, if you are anywhere near the East Coast like I am (no worries, I’m definitely far enough away) please, please, PLEASE be safe. If you have relatives closer inland then don’t risk it and get out there and stay with them. It’s better to take a precaution and be wrong than to do nothing and perish. Nature doesn’t fuck...

Echo
I know everyone has heard about this, but did anyone honestly expect Apple to sincerely apologize? I mean really. If anything this was just an exceptionally fortunate marketing opportunity for Apple. I almost wonder if the judge the ruled on this was actually an Apple fan and knew he was actually screwing Samsung. I wonder if the judge was ever screwed by Seagate…

20 Minutes Isn't Fast Enough (There Is No Demand)
Too bad Apple didn’t reasonably price the iPad so people would by them.
Maybe they should have taken a hit on the price like Amazon to get somewhere.
Surface vs. iPad
Can anyone give me this same comparison but instead of Surface vs. iPad, do Surface vs. iPad Mini? I want to see if the difference is just as striking. Email it to me. juanpeso@icloud.com I’ll post it here.

Slow Day
Sorry for the lack of posts today. I’ve been helping my mother paint her place. How about a run down of todays news with snark in it, and then a bounce back tomorrow? Good? Good.
Apple Sales Call
ZOMG! CALL 911. APPLE IS GOING DOWN THE TANK!!!! THEIR FIGURES THIS YEAR IN 3 QUARTERS EXCEED THE ENTIRE 4 QUARTERS FROM LAST YEAR THAT WERE ALL SO HORRIBLE! HOW WILL THEY SURVIVE WITHOUT...

The S.S. Zynga
It’s sinking.
This probably should have been the first sign.
This probably should have reaffirmed it.
1.77:1 Revisited
While writing my summary of today’s keynote I found myself struggling to convey this thought I had about Apple treating the iPhone and iPad separately. Luckily while writing my 16:9 post better words came to mind. The great thing about todays keynote was that for the first time in the iPad’s short life, it felt like the terms iPhone and iPad weren’t interchangeable. To me it...

1.77:1
One thing I’m glad Apple chose to do today was allow the iPhone 5 to head in a new direction, but not allowing that to force the iPad family in the same direction. Of course by this I mean the 16:9 aspect ratio. While it is great for wide screen video and I think acceptable for the iPhone (especially when you consider the fact that they only had to stretch the phone vertically a little bit...

NUMBERS
Numbers are still amazing and still climbing. Next.
iBooks
Check back. I don’t have a copy yet. Continuous scrolling is looking reeeeaaaally nice though. iBooks Author 1.0 made me wish I was back in school, 2.0 seems like it’s going to magnify that feeling. (Update) My iPad is en route from the repair facility, but having used iBooks on my iPhone I like the update. Scrolling mode works...

Question Mark
7.9
I love how with the 9.7-inch iPad was advertised as a great product for lounging and relaxing, but in the 7.9-inch iPad video they are showing people walking and moving. The dynamic is changing. We have officially gone from lounge and consume to move and create. I wish I had a clip of Ballmer laughing to embed here.
FLOORED
Four words. New iMac.
EPEAT and the 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro
Calling it now. There is going to be a giant crap about this laptop too amongst the media, EPEAT, and Apple.

Complaints and Unknowing Responses
10/21/2012
“Dad, you know what Apple should do? They should perform a civic duty and broadcast any Presidential and Vice Presidential debates to the Apple TV so Americans can just turn on the TV and be able to make their decisions themselves without the bullshit spin and commentary by others. Have it’s own channel/app to broadcast to event live like the iTunes Festival App.”

Decide for yourself. Watch the debates.
Did you know you can watch the presidential debate right on your Apple TV for free? To get to it simply navigate to the Wall Street Journal app (WSJ Live) on the Apple TV and select “Watch Live Now” and the stream will immediately start. You don’t have to sign up for anything or create an account or any or crap. Just click it. This is great. As an American you have a right to...

Why 1984 Won't Be Like 1984
Here is my idea for the next great Apple advertising slogan.
“Why 2013 Won’t Be Like 1984”
And then it shows the Apple logo. Because it’s not the Amazon logo. Remember?

Through The Looking Glass →
How long until Apple is producing these bad boys by themselves? If Samsung wanted to put the serious hurt on Apple, maybe they should have tried something before they took a seat on that giant pile of cash.
Fun thought: Wouldn’t it be great if Apple came out tomorrow and announced that they produced this screen themselves and were already getting rid of Samsung before this news was...

The Bends
I wonder how much time Microsoft spent contemplating building the Surface with the Desktop Mode built in. I’m an avid iPhone user, but I think that the Windows Phones are excellent. I love the vivid colors, ease of use, and the originality Microsoft and partners have put into the phone design in a time when most manufacturers are running with phones that are a crappy variation of the iPhone...

iPad Models
Speaking of iPads, I had a crazy thought about iPad models.
Price point one: iPad 7.85-inch - Black or White - WiFi/Cellular(+$130) - 16GB - $300 range
Price point two: iPad 9.7-inch - Black or White - WiFi/Cellular(+$130) - 32GB - $500 range
Price point three: iPad 9.7-inch - Black or White - WiFI/Cellular(+130) - 64GB - $600 range
Price point one might not have cellular. No more 9.7-inch...

"IBooks 3 apparaît au rayon BD de l'iTunes Store"
iGeneration has found that iBooks 3.0 is coming soon. The only request I have at this point is the ability to rename PDFs right from the Library. What a pain in the ass to go back to my computer to rename files in iTunes AFTER I already added the PDF to iBooks straight from the iPad.
Bonus tip: Instead of saving paper take-out menus and having them all over your refrigerator/house, find them in...

Copy&Paste+
As I was wandering the internet this morning trolling for articles about the name of the new iPad to post my iPad Naming Article to (let’s face it, I’m unknown and this is how you find an audience this early in the game) I realized that I wish there were a standard function to enhance copy and paste across all operating systems that use a keyboard.

The Name of the New iPad (Mini/Air/WhatEverItIs)
In the beginning of September Jeremy Herrman wrote a short piece regarding the naming of the “new iPad.” When I first read it I smacked myself in the forehead thinking about how genius his reasoning was. Then I began wondering why I hadn’t thought of that myself even though it wasn’t something I would normally think of myself anyway. The premise of his article was that the reason for calling the...

What I'm Doing.
I read a lot of tech junk (namely about Apple) and I just wanted a place to drop some thoughts to the general public. Here we go.
